3 Reasons to be Vegetarian by Anonymous

1. Does digesting dead bodies with your stomach and intestine sound disgusting?

If it doesn't then i would like you to visualize a situation whereby a crocodile has just eaten a decent human being and the damn croc is digesting the limbs, the internal organs & the brain of the victim who is still screaming for help to get out. Now does it feel good to visualize the above scenario? If it doesn’t and it makes you feel horrible and guilty then you're on the right track to realize the similarity between digesting a dead animals with your evil stomach and a crocodile eating a human being and digesting its limbs & brains. Yummy!

2. Animal cruelty

If you see some of the videos shown on the peta.org ( watch stars exposed the cruelty of KFC ) ,  It would probably change the way you think about those delicious and juicy meat that's placed on your plate (Maybe for couple of days but you can always view the video back  ) . After viewing those web clips, you will realize how much cruelty & insanity that has been perpetrated before making those delicious meals which is full of dead animal bodies, and if you are conscious that all lives are indeed connected to each other and to love all living beings unconditionally is to love yourself. Then the idea of putting lives into your stomach (A digestive system for dead bodies?) would likely seem insane to you.

3. The health benefit

There are whole host of health benefits when you do it right with a vegan diet. Various scientific studies has shown again and again that having a fiber/vege rich diet will generally enhance the health and well being of an individual. There is a great book entitled "China Study" which analyzes the health effect between meat rich diet Vs Vege rich diet that would perhaps convince you that vegan diet is the way to longevity and healthy life style. Please bare in mind that eating processed junk food such as potato chip , instant noodle and the like will not make you feel any healthier than being a 100% "meat eater". This is because in general processed food has no or little nutrient but chemical and toxin that will destabilize and hurt your body system.

For those with heart disease or high blood pressure ( or even cancer ). Changing to vegan diet will be a wonderful and effective holistic approach to contain or even cure the ailment in addition to your routine chemical pills taking which is full of many potential side effects (Eg : getting bald ).

I’m such a hypocrite for writing the above because I’m not a fully vegan yet. I consider myself a 70% -80% “vegan practitioner”. The reason for this is that I’m living with a big family and almost all of them aren’t interested to be a vegan. Some of them even claimed to commit suicide rather than being a vegan for life. As a result, there were times that eating meals consist of meat was unavoidable (yeah rite! what an excuse) .Despite the difficulty, I ‘m working really hard to influence the thought of my family members and hopefully we can be a successful vegan family some times in the future.
